Senior Finance Officer / Finance Business Partner

Our local authority client is looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner, as well as a Senior Finance Officer to join their busy team. Full details below:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • Support with year end closure of accounts, year end accruals, grant accounting and carry forwards
  • Preparation of year end financial reports, government returns and grant returns for the Department
  • Working with budget managers to support forecasting on revenue and capital budgets
  • Provide advice and guidance to Directors and Service Managers so support delivery and monitoring of savings proposals
  • Provide advice and financial analysis to support new service delivery proposals.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Public Sector experience essential
  • Experience of working in local government finance desirable.
