The Team & Focus of the Role

We are looking for a Commercial Accountant / Senior Finance Business Partner who is an expert in what they do join the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Team based in our Ashby-de-la-Zouch Head Office, with hybrid working opportunity. The core purpose of this role is to initially cover a Senior Finance Business Partner on their maternity leave. In the long term, this role would develop into a commercial accounting function at Fisher German.

The role will be based from our Ashby de la Zouch office, it will be full time (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5.30pm) however we can be flexible on start/finish times as long as our core hours of 10am - 4pm are covered.

Duties will include:

  • Finance business partnering with a business Division
  • Direct line management responsibilities
  • Producing relevant and accurate management reporting for the firm month and year end
  • Direct involvement in producing the annual budget and monthly forecasts
  • Develop a process of tracking recovery of costs of sale
  • Develop financial models for quoting and costing projects
  • Scenario modelling for various business initiatives
  • Review business plans and forecasts with a forensic approach and promote clarity and understanding
  • Direct involvement in implementation of the finance dashboards in PowerBI
  • Direct involvement in implementation of the financial planning software
  • Ad hoc reports and tasks as required

The successful candidate will have...

  • Previous experience in the finance business partnering role (essential)
  • People management experience (desirable)
  • Ability to apply quantitative methods in financial modelling, i.e. building trends, gap analysis, sensitivity analysis etc
  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at various levels across the business
  • The ability to translate financial jargon into terms non-finance colleagues will understand
  • Excellent communication skills at a variety of levels
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel skills, specifically pivot tables, formulas, v- and h- lookups, financial modelling
  • Be comfortable manipulating a large volume of data
  • Ability to manage large workloads effectively and efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Preferably CIMA qualified or studying at least studying at the Management Level
