£60,000 - £70,000 per annum plus bonus and further benefits

Tony Alan Recruitment currently has an exciting job opportunity for a Senior Finance Analyst to join a private equity business in the Hailsham area on a permanent basis.

This is a new, highly analytical and commercially focused finance role, which will involve working very closely with the FP&A Manager. The purpose of the role will primarily be to lead and continually improve the annual budgeting and forecasting process for the group, so to aid better business decision making and planning by the business.

Your duties will include:

• Lead the budgeting and reforecasting process across the group, utilising FP&A software to produce the budget pack (P&L, BS and cash-flow)
• Produce the annual budget
• Profit & loss forecasting
• Gross margin analysis
• Lead a continuous improvement process for the budgeting and forecasting process to drive improvements
• Explore utilising Predict Analytics software to enhance sales forecasting.
• Utilise Prophix, SPSS and PowerBi to help deliver further analytics insight and reporting, to the commercial benefit of the business. This could include enhancements to the monthly board pack
• Continue work to move the finance team away from excel and to drive automation
• Supporting management as required, in integrating newly acquired businesses into the budget, forecasting and monthly processes
• Ah-hoc analysis to support the FP&A team in delivering information to the business as required

Key requirements:

• An enthusiastic, self-starter and driven candidate with a desire for a challenging but progressive finance career
• Experience in working with big data to drive commercial value and analytical insight is essential
• Data manipulation - ability to turn complex data into visual and understandable stories is vital
