Randstad are proud to be working with a private family assessment unit to recruit Family Support Workers, to join a service dedicated to enhancing the well-being and stability of families in Bridgend. Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our private family assessment unit in Bridgend. As a Family Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing practical assistance and emotional support to families undergoing assessment, helping them navigate through difficult times and work towards positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support and guidance to families, offering practical assistance, advocacy, and emotional support as needed.
  • Facilitate family meetings and therapeutic interventions, promoting effective communication and conflict resolution.
  • Liaise with external agencies and professionals to coordinate additional support services for families, ensuring holistic care and collaboration.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interactions, assessments, and progress reports in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, case reviews, and training sessions to enhance professional development and promote best practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with families in a social care or community setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trusting relationships.
  • Empathetic and non-judgmental approach towards families facing challenging circumstances.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
