Teqniq is searching for a Senior Engineers - Design & Traffic ( travel improvement projects) to work in the public sector.

37 hours per week.

5 months contract.

08:30-16:30

Job Description:

South Gloucestershire Council (SGC) has secured funding from the 'City Region Sustainable Transport Settlement (CRSTS)’ to deliver sustainable travel improvements projects on the A38 and A432 major route corridors. The key requirements for this role are as follows:

Experience of designing Active Travel schemes in accordance with Local Transport Note 1/20.
Experience of implementation of a range of schemes requiring Traffic Regulation Orders.
Experience of critically evaluating and commenting on Highway design documents such as drawings, reports and calculations prepared by others.
Thorough knowledge of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions.
Experience of dealing with possible diversion/protection of utilities.
Good knowledge CDM Regulations including the duties of the named roles and the documentation required for the successful delivery of major construction schemes.
