Senior Engineer

The role
To develop and prototype transmission and mechanical systems, you’ll use front-running simulation techniques and design tools. You’ll also support the development of fresh techniques and analysis methods to drive continuous improvement. Often, you’ll assume a leading role in supporting the delivery of your own projects as well as those in collaboration with your colleagues.
Responsibilities include:

The requirements
You’ll bring a strong background in the design and analysis of automotive, transmission or precision engineering projects. Other requirements include:
- Degree educated in Mechanical, Electrical or Control system Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Track record of managing and improving powertrain project outcomes, both technically and commercially
- Familiar with drivetrain engineering software packages
- High standard of competency in design and CAE analysis of rotating systems
- Naturally inquisitive and thrives when challenged with a problem
- Detailed understanding of industry market trends and competitor capabilities
- Excellent customer-facing skills and ability to maintain a strong personal impression
- Strong communication, articulation and presentation skills
- Fluent in English and French/German/Japanese/Chinese is a plus
- Passionate about learning and facing new challenges
- Keen to develop personally and professionally
- Flexible and willing to travel
