The Role: Senior Site Engineer As a Senior Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our highway schemes. Working closely with project managers and other stakeholders, you will be responsible for overseeing site operations, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate site activities, including setting out, earthworks, drainage, and road construction.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety performance.
  • Manage subcontractors and site personnel, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Liaise with client representatives, engineers, and local authorities to address technical queries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and contractual requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, progress reports, and as-built drawings.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on site.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience working on major highways schemes, preferably in a senior engineering role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of highway construction methods, materials, and standards.
  • Proficiency in surveying instruments, GPS equipment, and AutoCAD software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Sound understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality or safety.
