Site Electrical Engineer
  • Location: To be determined
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary: 60,000 - £75,000

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Electrical Engineer to oversee all aspects of our clients electrical equipment within the mining, tunnelling, and civil industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and enforcing engineering standards to ensure safe and productive operations.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Act as the appointed electrical engineer and authorising electrical engineer in accordance with current legislation.
  • Define, establish, and maintain best practices for electrical engineering activities.
  • Ensure the Companies Scheme for Maintenance is effective in securing asset safety and reliability.
  • Identify and implement new technologies and practices to improve business operations.
  • Execute capital projects ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, financial, and time-related requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to operational, electrical, and quality assurance teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer status is preferred.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • Knowledge of I.E.T Regulations BS7671.
  • Proficiency in safety auditing and risk assessment.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies such as IET, IEE, or IM3 is desirable.
  • Applicants must be willing to work towards or hold the required qualifications within a reasonable timescale.
