Senior Ecologist

Brighton £30,000-£40,000

I am pleased to announce that we are looking for a Senior Ecologist to join a brilliant team in Brighton!

They work with a range of clients (involving some of the largest house-builders in the UK!), and have an excellent network of over 30 experienced professionals on their team.

They are a multi-disciplinary consultancy, where you would get the opportunity to work with a mix of skilled consultants in landscape, urban design and heritage. This will support you in developing a broader understanding of developments as well as ecology and biodiversity.

Responsibilities include;

  • Supporting junior members of staff as well as lead ecologist in project delivery.
  • Leading protected species surveys and overseeing PEAs, EcIAs, HRAs and BNG assessments.
  • Using QGIS to prepare technical drawings.

Requirements;

  • Experience with protected species surveys (survey licences beneficial).
  • Strong knowledge of wildlife legislation.
  • Full UK driving licence.
