Ecologist/Senior Ecologist

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and friendly team, and one of the most successful independent ecological consultancies in the UK.

In particular, we would be looking for experienced candidates including those with specialist interest in bats (including tree climbers), badgers, water vole, holders of mitigation licences, botanists and strong project managers.

You will have the opportunity to work on projects across heritage, renewable energy, residential, leisure and minerals.

The office the successful candidate would report into would be Guildford and would be expected in the office ideally one a week.

To be considered, the candidate would have over minimum of 4 years experience, will probably have at least have one protected species licence, will be a member of CIIEM (or similar) , and live within a 2 hour radius and thus able to work from Guildford occasionally (once a week would be great, could consider once very two weeks).

What we are looking for:

  • Broad ecological skill-set and, ideally, one or more protected species licences.
  • Knowledge of wildlife policy and legislation.
  • Confidence in written and verbal communication
  • Effective project management and client liaison skills
  • The ability to identify, understand, and resolve ecological issues
  • A good BSc and / or MSc in a relevant subject
  • A full driving licence and access to your own transport
