This is a great opportunity for an experienced DMU Engineer to join an expanding engineering team who are working on new vehicle programmes for this vehicle manufacturer at its Warwick based Innovation Centre.
You will be responsible for developing the DMU process within the product development team and liaising with external resources to ensure that business requirements are being met.
Key elements of this DMU Engineer job:
- Support planning and delivery of geometric compatibility DMU (Digital Mock Up) checks for each virtual series gateway. This may require working with both in-house and external resources
- Drive cross functional issue resolution of geometric compatibility issues identified through regular DMU reviews.
- Carry out DMU assessments across all areas of the vehicle as required.
- Interface with and support Packaging team to meet system/project requirements
- Interface with cross functional teams for resolution of all issues identified affecting geometric compatibility
Candidate requirements for this DMU Engineer job:
- Degree qualified or equivalent with proven experience in the automotive industry
- Experience working in a cross-functional geometric integration / Package / DMU role
- Experience using Catia V5
- A good working knowledge of MS Office;
- Good understanding of CAD data development / best practices
