Senior Device Engineer - Plymouth

Our client is seeking a Senior Device Engineer with experience in semiconductor device Physics to join their Device Engineering Group.

The successful applicant will be required to take a technical lead in both developing established measurement and modelling techniques and novel measurement methods for QW micro-LED structures.

Responsibilities:

Help to define the Device Engineering team's daily activities.

Develop/introduce new or novel techniques to help characterize and understand the operation of our micro-LED structures.

Work with the Process Development Group and the Process Architecture groups to suggest reasons and possible fixes for performance limiting behaviour.

Liaise with research institutions such as universities and Government laboratories (eg NPL) with a view to commissioning work outside of the scope that is possible within the business.

Produce clear and concise reports to disseminate results among the engineering community.

You will also be responsible for mentoring less experienced graduate engineers.

To be considered you will need the following:

Ph.D in either Physics or Electronics

Ability to analyse technical data and write technical reports.

Experience in the measuring and modelling of semiconductor devices (knowledge of QW LED structures would be an advantage) gained through industry experience or academic roles.
