Daytime Healthcare are partnering with a Private High End Orthopedic and Sports Clinic in Central London who look after sports stars. They are recruiting for an experienced Senior CT / MRI Radiographer to join their Imaging Team. The company was founded in London by a group of leading Orthopaedic Surgeons and Radiologists, with a shared vision of building a worldwide centre of excellence in musculoskeletal care. The Imaging department has 4 Siemens scanners. A 1.5T Aera at FCL, 1.5T Avanto,3T Spectra,3T Lumina. You would be required to work in Central London and Wimbledon.

Hours: Monday-Friday

The Clinics are open 8am-8pm, 4 days a week or 2 long days of 12 hours (8am -8pm or 2 short days 8am-4pm, 10am-6pm, or 12am-8pm.

Senior Radiographer Job Role & Duties:

  • The Senior Radiographer role will involve a mix of orthopaedic MRI, CT and X-rays. There will be the occasional need to support with Theatre II sessions.
  • You will be looking after a wide variety of patients will be encountered including elite sportsmen and women and VIP’s.
  • You will be working with the Head of Imaging, Lead radiographer, Senior Training radiographers and other senior radiographers to deliver a five-star service in the Imaging Department.
  • You will develop specialised knowledge and expertise and produce high quality images to assist in diagnosis and treatment, while demonstrating high standards of care.
  • Teaching and supervision of qualified junior radiographers.
  • Assisting with and managing workflow and ensuring all data inputs are recorded for both patient record integrity and statistical evaluation purposes.
  • Maintaining a high level of technical and theoretical skills through personal CPD.
  • Participating in the governance of the department in areas including risk management, health and safety, research and audit activities.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography
  • HCPC registration
  • Evidence of CPD
  • Significant MRI, CT, x-ray and II Orthopaedics procedures experience
  • Ability to support on-call rota
  • Able to make judgements involving complex facts or situations which require the analysis, interpretation and comparison of a range of options
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent team working and MDT skills
  • Flexible and adaptive to changing situations
  • Experience using 3T ( Desirable, not essential),
  • Ability to undertake IV cannulation (Desirable, not essential),
  • Some knowledge of PACS and other IT systems (Desirable, not essential).
