The role:

A successful financial services business focused on retail savings and retail/commercial lending & finance now wish to appoint Senior Credit Risk Analyst (Motor Finance) . Reporting to a Senior Manager the role of Senior Credit Risk Analyst (Motor Finance) will be responsible for providing support to 1st line risk across the newly developed motor finance departments. Senior Credit Risk Analyst (Motor Finance) will be responsible for monitoring the motor finance (and some mortgage) portfolios from a credit risk perspective. Further responsibilities include…

• Develop a suite of MI to monitor risks across the motor finance portfolio
• Support the delivery of analysis of the motor finance portfolio & decision making
• Collate, clean and summarise extended customer performance data
• Deliver regular insight into portfolio health, highlighting potential risks and threats
• Support the product teams in the development of new products
• Work closely with project teams to ensure correct data is being captured and processed
• Subject matter expert within the credit risk department

• Proven analytical skills within financial services credit risk to include motor finance
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience of using SAS, Python, R, SQL
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem solving skills
• Ability to work effectively with other departments to ensure accurate results are consistently achieved
• An understanding of MCOB & CONC
