Senior Cost Engineer

Job Type – Permanent

Location – Devonport, Plymouth

My client is looking for a Senior Cost Engineer to join their team on the major Devonport Dockyard refurbishment project. The successful candidate must pass Government SC Clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop/implement and maintain the Project Baseline Budgets including Control Account Plans.
  • Responsible for the monitor, control and validation of project’s accruals and commitments and the control of resource and financial forecast data.
  • Management and control of cost risk budget and drawdown and input into the risk management process.
  • Management and control of financial change management on the project and assurance of alignment with the business/contractual requirements.
  • Provision of internal and external financial performance & cost reports including earned value and variation analysis.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of supervisory / line management in cost estimating, cost engineering or project controls environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of cost management techniques
  • Champions Sustainability Safety, Health and Environment by putting personal safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do and helping the environment and communities to thrive.
  • Having integrity by always doing the right thing in the right way
  • Must be customer focussed by striving for excellence through understanding, anticipating and meeting their needs.
  • No objections to obtaining SC clearance.
