Senior Control Systems Engineer

We are recruiting a Senior Control Systems Engineer tojoin our client working for a leading UK automation company based in Telford working on a hyrbid basis.

As a Senior Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the delivery of automation and control system projects.

This is a fantastic company to work for with their diverse projects, technologies they use and their customer base.

The role of Senior Controls Engineer will include the following.

• Electrical / controls concept design including Functional Design Specification, SafetyRequirements Specification, Single Line Diagram, Network Topology, Device Layout, Cause & effect Matrix, Safety Block Diagram, etc.
• Handover to the Hardware Design team and review of designs produced.
• Software Design, including Software Design Specification and production of Software configuration deliverables for e.g PLC, HMI, SCADA, Robot, Drives etc.

• Maintenance of the Technical Construction File.
• Factory Acceptance Testing.

What’s needed for me to be considered for the Senior Control Systems Engineer role?

• Demonstrable experience of writing PLC software ideally in SIEMENS S7/ TIA Portal or Rockwell Studio 5000
• Experience developing PLC code and associated processes from scratch.
• Experience working project through the full life cycle, from design, development, commissioning to handover stage.
