Summary

We're looking to recruit a Senior Marketing and Communications Officer for a fixed term role, covering the current post holder's secondment to a project. This role leads for marketing strategy and delivery for Prior Park, Bath Skyline and Bathampton Meadows within the Bath portfolio and works with two other senior Marketing and Communications officers in the team who cover Dyrham Park and Bath Assembly Rooms respectively.

Interviews will be held on 23rd May 2024.

What it's like to work here

Prior Park is finishing an exciting project to restore the 18th century dams. Bath Skyline has miles of walking trails letting visitors explore hidden valleys and tranquil woodlands within walking distance of Bath. Bathampton meadows is undergoing a project to engage with locals to realise the full potential of this green corridor from the city to the countryside beyond. Elsewhere in the Bath portfolio, Dyrham Park is growing visitor numbers following a project to restore the house, and Bath Assembly Rooms is embarking on an ambitious project to transform a significant site in the centre of Bath, a world heritage site. Together, the sites create a unique experience for locals and tourists to experience Bath and enjoy nature, beauty and history.

What you'll be doing

You'll be based in the office at Prior Park, but with the option of flexible working across the other sites in the Bath portfolio.

You’ll be responsible for coordinating an effective communication and marketing plan for visitor experience and commercial activity, which helps fund our conservation work. You'll work alongside the other Senior Marketing & Communications Officers, who lead for Bath Assembly Rooms and Dyrham Park. Together you'll deliver a marketing and communications strategy. Working closely with the property leadership, visitor experience, outdoors and consultancy teams, you'll help promote our special places and activities to encourage support, through visits, donations, volunteering and commercial activity.

You’ll help to generate positive press coverage and content to raise the profile of the places we care for, attract visitors to enjoy them and reach a variety of audiences. This will be through different formats; social, in print or on-site signage.

Building upon past successes, you’ll help to manage the property’s social media accounts, including creating new engaging content and looking for opportunities to reach new audiences. Managing effective marketing and PR campaigns for the property’s event programme across social media and other channels will be pivotal to help deliver the business plan and fund our conservation work.
