Senior Commercial Manager

Jonathan Lee Recruitment is seeking a flexible, full-time Senior Commercial Manager based in Oxfordshire and working within a prestigious technology campus.  

As Senior Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and developing the commercial strategy for an exciting spin out company, focussing on providing engineering, technical and test services across a range of  dynamic markets.

To give you an idea of how this role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:

Define, develop and drive commercial strategy for the business;

Make initial approaches, understand and capture customer requirements, prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts and maintain post-sale customer relationships;

Produce proposals and analyse complex problems and business cases, sometimes working as part of a team and sometimes independently;

Forecast and meet revenue targets by selling capabilities, technologies and services in the agreed target markets;

Support the growth of the business and commercial team;

Act as a primary point of interaction with potential and current customers.

To apply for this Senior Commercial Manager position, you will need a track record in a relevant commercial or business development role, ideally within the premium automotive, aerospace, defence, motorsport and/or energy sectors. You will also require the following: 

A successful track record of identifying, winning and maintaining business;

Experience of working in high-tech organisations;

High level of interpersonal skills;

The ability to convey customer requirements to Design and Engineering teams;

Degree qualified in a related Engineering degree (desirable).
