Arthur are delighted to partner with a leading specialty insurer and re-insurer on the search for a catastrophe analyst to join the treaty modelling team based in London. You will join a small team in a heavily modelling position, utilising both RMS and AIR vendor models to model international treaty business likes, predominantly made up of property. 

In conjunction to this, you will have exposure to portfolio analysis, optimisation and developing core skills and tools used within reinsurance. As an analyst, you will further help the business in developing the overall view of risk across the function and prepare exposure loss data for regulatory reporting. 

This is a highly varied role and a great opportunity for an analyst to step into a role and have the opportunity to gain additional exposure at an early stage of their career. You will support the team by:
  • Providing catastrophe modelling support for pricing and risk selection purposes for Insurance and Reinsurance underwriting teams 
  • Undertake monthly portfolio level analysis for individual teams,
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and underwriters
  • Prepare exposure and loss data for regulatory and outward reinsurance reporting 
  • Support junior members of the modelling team.
