Senior Care Assistant Needed in Hitchin!

Howard Finley Care are currently recruiting for a Senior Care Assistant to join my clients care home. This home is renowned for delivering top of the range care and is highly respected within the care industry. The care home cares for the elderly and is looking for candidates that are experience with leading a shift and providing accurate directons to the Healthcare Assistants.

Senior Care Assistant vacancy details:

• £13.92 per hour (From April)
• Full time - 33 hours
• Permanent contract
• Day and Night positions available
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is essential for this role.
• To be medication trained is now an essential for the role.

Senior Care Assistant main duties:

• Help to ensure that all care and ancillary staff have the opportunity to reach the standard required to contribute to the safe and efficient running of the Home.
• Assist residents with their personal care needs and help to provide health supervision, and attention through direct care when needed.
• Respect residents' rights to privacy, dignity and choice.
• Support the Home Manager in the duties of 'Responsible Officer' for the Home under all statutory requirements, legislation and in-house practice. This will include maintaining relevant records, logs and other documents as necessary and the issue and control of medications for which the Home has taken responsibility.
• Assist in the development of activities for residents in which they can join and which will enhance their quality of life, developing ways where residents with special support needs can lead a fulfilling life.
