Senior Care Assistant Needed in Dunstable!

Howard Finley Care are currently recruiting for a Senior Care Assistant to join my clients night team. This small care home based in Dunstable is seeking an experienced Senior to lead the Healthcare Assistants from the front and to maintain delivering high standards of care to the residents and family members.

Senior Care Assistant Essentials:

  • To have at least 2 years experience working as a Senior Care Assistant.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is essential.
  • Medication Training is essential.

Senior Care Assistant vacancy details:

  • £13.50 per hour
  • Full time - 36 hours
  • Permanent contract to the care home
  • Paid break
  • 9:00pm - 8:00am shift pattern - 11hr shifts.

Senior Care Assistant main duties:

  • supervise a team of care assistants
  • write care plans
  • monitor patients' vital signs, like blood pressure and heart rate
  • complete patient medication records
  • develop and lead activities for service users
  • keep families up to date about their relative's progress
  • train and mentor new staff
  • attend team meetings with service managers
  • provide emergency cover
