A well-established electronics manufacturing organisation are looking for a permanent Senior Buyer to join their team in Lymington offering up to £48,000.

This role will be responsible for the sourcing, negotiating, and buying of a range of goods, materials and services. It will involve working with technical teams for component selection, the manufacturing team to ensure availability and quality and the commercial team to agree cost and commercial targets.


Role responsibilities of the Senior Buyer include:

  • Purchase goods, materials, components, or services in line with business requirements
  • Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicated ay supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations
  • Assess and evaluate tenders, quotations, and supplier capabilities, negotiate contracts and terms of business
  • Develop, build, and maintain supplier relationships and undertake performance reviews

Person Specification of the Senior Buyer:

  • Proven purchasing/procurement experience in a manufacturing electronics environment essential
  • 3 years minimum experience in procurement ideally in a technical capacity
  • Capable of reading and understanding 2D technical drawings
  • Experience using ERP/MRP
  • Experience working with product development teams and building effective relationships
  • Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving attributes


Salary

Up to £45k

This role is fully on site and offers no hybrid working
