A successful growing accountancy practice are currently looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to join their bookkeeping team within their Taunton office.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the bookkeeping processes for a designated client portfolio.
  • Prepare financial reports, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Supervise and train junior bookkeeping staff.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT Returns
  • Ensure adherence to accounting principles and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting software and technologies.

Qualifications and experience 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Proven experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero). Cloud knowledge is a bonus. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
