Senior Bookkeeper

Are you currently seeking a Senior Bookkeeper role local to North London? We are working a small, busy, fast practice firm based in Finchley that is looking to expand the team. You would be working alongside another Senior Bookkeeper and would be responsible for managing a client portfolio, consisting of both sole trade and incorporated entities consisting of a wide range of industries.

Your Role:

• Bookkeeping on various software programs
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Reviewing work of junior/outsourcing staff
• Responding to client queries
• Ensuring trial balances are complete in preparation for handing over to accounts department.

What you need:

• Bookkeeping software - Xero/Sage/QuickBooks
• VAT - experience of dealing with HMRC, knowledge of VAT schemes and some experience of VAT planning.
• Knowledge of CIS an advantage
• Good Excel/spread sheet skills.
• Understanding of double entry and ability to carry out ledger reconciliations.
