Based in either London or Winchester, an award-winning actuarial consultancy is looking for a bright and enthusiastic bidding professional to join their well-respected, successful and growing business development team.

Working closely alongside other members of the bid team, business development colleagues and partners, the role holder will help win, retain and grow business by managing high profile and complex tenders. You will be responsible for the day-to-day project management and ownership of bid plans working within the firm’s bid process to agreed defined timelines. The Senior Bid Executive or Manager will manage each bid ensuring the qualification process is robust, developing win strategies and themes, supporting content development through outlining, storyboarding and writing phases, scheduling appropriate technical and commercial reviews and managing the creative delivery of the tender documents and pitch materials. Coaching pitch teams to development succinct, compelling and engaging presentations to prospects and existing clients will also be a key area of focus. In addition, the successful applicant will support the Senior Bids Manager in driving an improvement programme in work winning activities and in promoting best bidding practice across the firm.

The ideal candidate will be a bright graduate or equivalent with proven tender management experience, ideally gained in a professional services firm, to include demonstrable success in independently managing large or complex bids. Confident and credible, with excellent project management skills, the Senior Bid Executive or Manager will be good at working on simultaneous projects, while working to tight deadlines and remaining calm under pressure. An understanding of financial, actuarial, consulting, investment and insurance markets, as well as Partnership experience would be valuable but is not essential. Experience of and the ability to use CRM databases and content management systems is also highly desirable.
