SENIOR BID MANAGER

New contract opportunity available in Newport for a Bid Manager to join a leading Aerospace, Space and Defence company.

• £650pd via Umbrella
• Initial 12-month contract
• Full time on-site in Newport
• There may be some remote working available, but candidates must attend site as and when required.
• SC clearance required before starting

WHAT WILL THE SENIOR BID MANAGER BE DOING?

You will be playing a pivotal role in shaping bid strategies, crafting content, and managing the end-to-end bid process across a varied government client base. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. It will require strong people management and commercial skills. This role may require transnational travel and networking across UK and European government.

Responsibilities include:

• Assembling and leading a bid team with the relevant service/product/business knowledge required to win and retain work from new and existing clients.
• Managing the bid qualification (bid go / no go) process
• Working with the Finance team to establish the B-Form (P&L) and proposal pricing
• Identifying, capturing, and evaluating all key risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies

WE NEED THE SENIOR BID MANAGER TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING…

• 5+ years in managing proposals or client deliverables for government or/and commercial clients
• Proven track record of delivering complex proposals under short timescales
• Stakeholder Management
