Jackson Hogg are pleased to be working with a prestigious client in their search for a Senior Automation Engineer.

This organisation is looking for a Senior Automation Engineer who can join the company and bring in new production facilities, enhance current processes, and also contribute to breakdown support, concept design, and cost estimation for new products.

Responsibilities of Senior Automation Engineer

  • Defining, overseeing, and acquiring equipment for production
  • Continuously improving production equipment for better efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Providing justification, obtaining quotes, and pursuing investment for new production equipment.
  • Ensuring all equipment is compliant with necessary documentation, and training/information provided to maintenance and manufacturing departments.
  • Safely installing new equipment and setting up processes.
  • Responding to breakdowns.
  • Collaborating with production and R&D to enhance efficiency.

Desired Experience of Senior Automation Engineer

  • Good communicator, both verbal and written
  • Understanding of CE (or UKCA) and PUWER marking of machines/Equipment.
  • Utilisation of lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Good knowledge of Siemens PLC programming and Fanuc Robots.
  • Knowledge of Control systems.
  • Either a relevant degree or several years’ experience in Engineering.
  • A sound knowledge of Excel; Power Point & Word
  • Good time management & planning skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively.
