The Company:
Our client is a market leader in their field. They manufacture and supply a range of products to healthcare providers across the UK and internationally. You would be joining a business that is experiencing a sustained period of growth, which could potentially offer an extension.

The Job:
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager to support with the day-to-day administrative tasks needed for the smooth running of the Purchasing Department, thus optimizing the procurement process for the organization.

Day to day responsibilities;

  • Manage and enter data in MRP system and analyse order requirements
  • Use Freq ordering system to make and approve orders and send Purchase Orders
  • Respond to ad hoc queries from wider team
  • Attend inter-departmental meetings
  • Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery
  • Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)
  • Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
  • Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition
  • Any other duties in line with purchasing requirements

Essential skills:
Excellent attention to detail, Analytical thinking, Excellent organisation and time keeping, Knowledge of MS Excel, Strong verbal and written communication skills

The Person:

Must have previous experience in a Senior Administration ideally within purchasing
Knowledge of manufacturing processes would be advantageous
Honesty and integrity with ambition and a drive to succeed.
Dependability and reliability, flexibility and willingness to work collaboratively.
Committed to professionalism and continuous improvement and personal development.
Committed, self-motivated and professional team worker who is passionate and enthusiastic

Hours of work: Monday to Friday
