Senior Administrator

We are recruiting for an educational establishment based in Ascot, Berkshire and they are seeking an experienced Senior Administrator to join their team to provide executive support to their senior leadership team.

This position is full-time, office based working term time only - including an additional 3 weeks during the holidays, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30pm.

Working 36 weeks a year £27,000 per annum pro rata - take home pay is £18,692 per annum.

Key Tasks for the Senior Administrator include:

  • Secretarial support to the Deputy Head Pastoral & Boarding
  • Diary management: ensuring commitments are highlighted and the Deputy Head is appropriately prepared
  • Arrange and prepare agendas for regular meetings
  • Take accurate minutes at meetings and liaise with colleagues to ensure action points are followed up.
  • Weekly, send communications to parents.
  • Update staff safeguarding training records.
  • General administrative support e.g. typing reports, proofreading, or compiling expenses.
  • Work closely with HR to support teaching or boarding staff recruitment.
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks as requested to ensure the effective running of the school.
  • Administrative Support, Calendar management, including scheduling of School meetings (internal and external), ensuring agendas are accurate for weekly meetings.

The Senior Administrator will have the following skills and experience:

  • At least a year of administrative experience.
  • Experience in organising meetings and handling confidential documents.
  • Proficiency in using IT databases and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise work effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and conditions with a proactive approach.
  • A commitment to child safety and an understanding of safeguarding practices
