Senior Accountant

Our client is based near Accrington and provides accountancy services to clients in the Lancashire and Greater Manchester area, with specialism in the SME/Owner managed market. They are now looking to for a Senior Accountant to join them on their growth journey and develop services to grow the practice.

They pride themselves on their innovative and modern approach to accounting and are looking for a Senior Accountant who can provide their clients with first-class service.

As the Senior Accountant, you'll be responsible for:

• Preparation of accounts for limited companies and sole traders.

• Bookkeeping using SAGE, QuickBooks, or Xero

• Preparing VAT returns

• Corporation tax computations.

• Understanding of the company payroll and calculations for SME.

• Using digital software for Accounts, Corporation Tax, and Self-assessment preparation

• Production of some management accountants ready for review on a quarterly basis

Our client is looking for a qualified AAT Technician or an ACCA/ACA studier is looking to qualify point in next 18 months and who has some experience of the practice environment, however QBE with strong practice experience would also been considered.

You will be the main point of contact for clients, so it is essential that you have an approachable personality who can communicate financial information to non-financial management.
