Senior Accountant

Reed Accountancy are currently assisting a local accountancy practice who are seeking a Senior Accountant to join their established team.  As Senior Accountant you will provide tax and accountancy services to small and medium businesses and individuals including limited company accounts, corporation tax returns, Companies House compliance, self assessment tax returns, payroll, VAT and book-keeping services.

As Senior Accountant duties will include:

• Preparing and submitting self assessment tax returns or corporation tax returns
• Preparing and filing limited company accounts and sole trader accounts
• Answering client accounts queries and liaising with HMRC and companies House
• Supporting and assisting others in the accounts production team

Role requirements

• Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and efficiently with clients and colleagues
• At least 3 years experience working in practice and preparing self assessment tax returns, corporation tax returns, limited company accounts and sole trader accounts
• Excellent IT and communication skills
• Good prioritisation and time management skills
• Adaptable, flexible team player and flexibility
• Active AAT/ACCA/ACA studier of full or part qualified is highly desirable
