Client Accountant - ACCA / ACA Qualified
Reading based
£45,000 - £65,000 per annum

Butler Rose are pleased to announce a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced ACCA / ACA Qualified Accountant to join a modern and growing accountancy firm in Reading.
Having recently received substantial investment, this Reading based firm are now looking increase their client list and grow their accountancy team. This role will manage a portfolio of varied clients, completing all year end accounts preparation, VAT returns, and general bookkeeping.

Requirements:

  • Ideally you will be full ACCA / ACA qualified but part or nearly qualified will be considered dependent on previous experience.
  • Recent experience working within a UK accountancy practice is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the confidence to work closely with clients.


Duties:

  • Oversee the management of a diverse portfolio of clients, providing exceptional client service and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Manage the entire accounts department and play an integral role in building existing and new business pipelines.
  • Oversee and review the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other compliance-related documents.
  • Conduct regular financial reviews with clients, offering strategic advice to support their business objectives.
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and offer proactive advice.
  • Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.


Requirements:

  • Ideally you will be full ACCA / ACA qualified but part or nearly qualified will be considered dependent on previous experience.
  • Proven experience in a client management role within a chartered accountancy practice is essential.
  • Proven experience in developing strong client relationships, building a business pipeline, and bring in new business.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Proactive and solution-focused approach to client challenges.
