Accountant, Otley, £comp

An established Accountancy Practice in the Otley area is recruiting for an experienced Accountant.

To be considered you must have accountancy experience from another practice, ideally a small or medium sized firm.

They can offer flexible working and one day working from home

Duties:

  • Preparation of accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
  • Finalising accounts and tax returns with clients
  • Supporting the partner in running the practice
  • Review of work prepared by junior staff
  • Supervision and training of junior members of staff
  • Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns
  • Provision of advice to clients as required
  • Review and or preparation of more complex VAT returns
  • Preparing Personal Tax Computations
  • Preparing Capital Gains Tax Computation
  • Report directly to a Partner
  • Supporting clients in the use of cloud based bookkeeping software

Requirements:

  • A minimum of five years of practice experience, ideally in a small firm.
  • Experience of using accounting software including Xero, Sage, Quick Books & IRIS .
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly organised and self-motivated
  • Team player who is not afraid to put forward ideas
  • Ability to multi-task and complete assignments within time constraints and set deadlines.
