Are you an experienced supervisor of a thriving accountancy team with great communication skills and a positive mindset and work ethic?

We’re delighted to be representing an exceptional and thriving firm of accountants in Marlow in their search for an ACCA/ACA qualified or nearly qualified accountant to take up the position of Senior Accountant.

This role will suit a professional looking for a real opportunity to embark upon a professional pathway of progression. You’ll be committed to continued professional development and will be excited to work as part of a thriving, cohesive and well regarded team supporting a large and varied portfolio of clients in all areas of tax and general accounting.

The successful candidate will be an able coach and mentor and will have an outstanding technical skillset and an agile approach towards getting stuck in as part of the team.

JobPurpose
  • Preparation of accounts for a significant client portfolio, monitoring all commercial aspects of portfolio management.
  • Preparation of corporation tax returns and computations.
  • Liaise directly with clients, proactively handing queries and building trusted relationships.
  • Managing a junior team of accountants.
  • Oversight of the portfolio’s workflow, allocating resources, managing deadlines and ensuring client’s experience outstanding service levels.
  • Support senior team members with complex accounting issues.
  • Monitor commercial aspects of your portfolio, reporting directly to Partners.
  • Promote and strive for customer service excellence and set an example to junior staff as a hands-on and proactive Senior Accountant.

Job Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA qualified or part qualified with previous UK practice experience.
  • Study support can be provided if part qualified.
  • Working knowledge of accounting software, including Sage, QuickBooks, cloud software, and CCH.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Self-motivated and able to oversee workflow.
  • A team player able to bring out the best in others.
  • Confidently mentor junior team members, in a positive and constructive manner.
