An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced accountant to join a modern and contemporary accountancy practice based in Eatsleigh.

Working within a small but growing firm, you will hold a hands on role looking after key clients and completing day to day accounts preparation, VAT returns, personal and corporate tax returns and general bookkeeping. In addition, you will also become involved in the team management and hold responsibility for mentoring junior accountants and managing the teams workflow.
This role will be ideal for someone who loves working in an accountancy practice but who would like to have further career progression options and be part of a more modern, forward thinking company.

The ideal candidate will be ACA / ACCA qualified although part qualified and nearly qualified candidates will also be considered. Previous experience working in an accountancy practice is essential. As well as having excellent technical knowledge, our ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and self-sufficient. You will be responsible for undertaking accounts preparation, preparation of VAT returns, and management information for clients ensuring deadlines and accounting standards are met.

Key skills:

* Excellent technical knowledge and a proven history of working in an accountancy
practice.
* Excellent communication skills and the confidence to speak with clients and senior
managers.
* ACCA / ACA qualified would be ideal but other levels of qualification will be considered.
* Experience preparing accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
* Experience completing quarterly and annual VAT returns, corporate tax returns, and
general bookkeeping.
* Experience mentoring junior accountants would be advantageous but not essential.
* Ideally, this role is suited to an existing accountant or senior accountant who is looking to
progress and take on a leadership role within a growing public practice.
