Our client, a long-established accountancy firm in Bedford, who pride themselves on maintaining a small practice feel, are seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare year-end financial statements for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Oversee the preparation of management accounts and VAT returns.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, assisting in their professional development.
  • Liaise with clients to gather information and resolve queries in a timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and standards, ensuring compliance in all client engagements.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in a similar role within an accountancy firm.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
