SEND Teaching Assistant

• Location: Gabalfa, Cardiff
• Salary: £12.82+
• Job Type: Permanent, Term Time (39 weeks per year including INSET days)
• Hours: 35 hours per week
• Start Date: September 2024

Our client is a Special School based in the Cardiff area, who is seeking highly motivated Grade 4 Teaching Assistants to join their vibrant primary ALN setting. Our school supports pupils with a range of complex learning needs and speech and language difficulties. We are expanding and looking for dedicated individuals to be part of our growth and nurturing ethos.

• Work collaboratively within a team to support the learning and development of pupils with complex needs.
• Show initiative and contribute to creating a positive learning environment.
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of learning activities.
• Support pupils with speech and language difficulties.
• Engage with pupils to make the most of every learning opportunity.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Initiative and a proactive approach to supporting children’s learning.
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) as per the Education (Wales) Act 2014.
• Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check is required.
