Location: Landywood, South Staffordshire

Contract Duration: May 13th, 2024 - July 12th, 2024

Position Overview:

As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) with us, you will play a pivotal role in providing dedicated support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the personalized assistance they need to thrive academically and socially. You will work closely with educational professionals to implement tailored strategies and interventions that address the individual needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, including but not limited to autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported.
Collaborate effectively with teachers and other members of the school community to promote the holistic development of students with special educational needs.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding student achievements and areas for development.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
Relevant qualifications or training in special education, teaching assistance, or a related field are advantageous.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance or willingness to undergo clearance checks.
