About the Job:

As a SEND Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in creating a positive and engaging learning experience for our students. You will work closely with our dedicated team to develop tailored learning plans, foster a supportive classroom environment, and promote social and emotional well-being. Your passion for teaching and commitment to individualised learning will be key to helping our students thrive.

Responsibilities:

-Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum, adapted to meet the diverse needs of our students.
-Differentiation: Tailor teaching methods and resources to accommodate varying abilities, learning styles, and sensory preferences.
-Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
-Behaviour Management: Implement effective behaviour management techniques, promoting positive behaviour and social skills.
-Collaboration: Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and external agencies to create a cohesive support network for students.
-Individualised Support: Develop personalised learning plans, considering each student's unique strengths and challenges.
-Inclusion: Champion an inclusive ethos, ensuring all students feel valued, respected, and empowered.

About You / Qualifications and Experience:

-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
-Experience working with students with SEND, preferably in an alternative provision or special school setting.
-Knowledge of relevant SEND legislation and best practices.
-Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
-Resilience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for making a difference.
