SEN Tutor
Role- SEN Tutor- English and Maths
Location- Barking and Dagenham
Working Hours- Monday-Fridat, Full-time - 9am-4pm
Start- ASAP
I am currently partnered with an Outreach service that works in conjunction with Barking and Dagenham local authority to provide students who are currently waiting on a school place with education in the home to ensure that they do not fall behind in their studies during this time. We work with students with a wide range of needs from primary through to post 16 ages who may have special educational needs and social, emotional and mental health needs that can have an effect on their learning and cognition, speech and laguage and social communication skills. Tutors working for this service have 3-4 students per day with whom they work with on a 1-1 basis within their homes, teaching Maths and English, this can be from Primary, functional skills or GCSE level so experience working with students of different levels is highly desireable for this role.
Your role will include lesson planning and delivery, teaching on a 1-1 basis and giving weekly reports to the tuition service on students progress. Both Fully Qualified Teachers and experienced tutors are welcome to apply.
Must haves for the role:
-Have experience working with students with SEN and SEMH needs
-Experience teaching English AND Maths
-Able to confidently plan and deliver lessons
-A warm, friendly and approachable personality
Desireable:
-Drivers are higly desireable for this role as students live within a 15 minute drive from one another
This role withh be full-time, Monday-Friday, we cannot consider part-time applicants at this time due to the need for continuity and structure of student's timetables. To be considered for this role you must be able to teach both English and Maths and have experience with working with tudents with SEN/SEMH needs. Teachers and experienced tutors are encouraged to apply!
