Position: Tutor for Primary and Secondary Pupils Location: Soham Hourly Rate: £28 - £30 per hour.

As a SEN Tutor for Primary and Secondary Age Pupils, your primary purpose is to provide guidance, support, and inspiration to students during their crucial formative years. This role is pivotal in fostering positive academic, social, and emotional development, contributing significantly to the overall well-being and success of the students.

  • Provide face to face support to students.
  • Design and implement effective lesson plans tailored to the individual needs and learning styles of the student.
  • Deliver instruction in core subjects such as Mathematics, English and Science ensuring alignment with the relevant curriculum standards.
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for students to express themselves.
  • Address and help resolve social and emotional challenges that students may face, such as peer relationships, self-esteem, and stress management.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages students to ask questions and seek clarification
  • Establish open and effective communication channels with students, parents, and teachers to ensure a holistic understanding of each student's needs.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with mentees, creating an environment where they feel comfortable seeking guidance.
  • Develop and curate educational materials, resources, and tools to enhance the learning experience
  • Utilise a variety of teaching aids, technology, and interactive activities to make lessons engaging and effective
  • Modify teaching methods and strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs and styles.

Experience/Knowledge

  • Proven experience in supporting SEN children.
  • Proven experience in Tuition.
  • Proven experience in teaching or training within the UK.
  • Current Knowledge of the National Curriculum
