Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners? We are seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner Primary schools in Middlesbrough. A vibrant Primary School in Middlesbrough, you will work under the SENCo as part of a large special needs team. This role, starting in September 2024, offers a rewarding opportunity to work on a long-term basis via Reed Education, with the opportunity to move to a permanent role by Christmas.

Role Details:

  • Position: Special Needs Teaching Assistant
  • Start Date: September 2024
  • Hours: Full-time (5 days per week), 8.30am to 3.30pm
  • Pay: £85 to £95 per day

Responsibilities: As a 1:1 support for pupils with Autism, you will:

  • Foster a positive learning environment tailored to individual needs.
  • Assist with academic tasks, social interactions, and emotional support.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to create personalized learning plans.

Desirable Skills:

  • Understanding of Autism: Experience working with pupils aged 4 to 11 with Autism.
  • Patience and Empathy: Ability to connect with students and provide compassionate support.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust teaching methods based on individual requirements.
  • Effective Communication: Clear communication with students, colleagues, and parents.
