Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Salary/Rate: £95- £105 per day

Milk Education are working closely with a Primary Special School in Hackney who specialise in children with ASC and are looking to employ a SEN Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis. The role will involve providing support to students with ASD who require assistance in nurturing communication, learning and independence in a safe and inclusive environment.
This school strives to creatively plan and tailor lessons to ensure all individual needs are supported and met. It is important that you are proactive in building positive relationships with these students and liasing with the school's SENDCO to provide the best possible outcomes. The role will start as soon as possible.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Have experience in de-escalation and therapeutic techniques to assist pupils with varied and complex needs.
- The role will include working with individuals as well as small groups, assisting in planning and delivering lessons in a creative and positive setting.
- Provide specific support to students dependent upon their individual needs and implement strategies to support them with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Model, within a classroom setting, support strategies that will encourage and develop appropriate behaviour in a variety of settings i.e with individuals and groups/whole class
- Model group based activities that will develop problem-solving, listening and social skills
