Position Overview: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting the educational journey of students with SEN within our school community. Working closely with teachers and SEN specialists, you'll provide tailored assistance and encouragement to help students overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. Key responsibilities include:

  • Offering one-on-one support to students with SEN, both in and out of the classroom
  • Collaborating with teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt lesson materials as needed
  • Assisting students with sensory, communication, or mobility difficulties
  • Promoting inclusivity and fostering positive relationships among students
  • Providing feedback and progress reports to SENCOs and other relevant professionals

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students
  • Compassion, patience, and a genuine interest in supporting the learning and development of all students
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools) would be beneficial
