Academics is currently seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team for April 2024 starts. Whether you prefer the flexibility of day-to-day assignments or are seeking a long-term placement, we welcome your application!

About You - SEN Teaching Assistant - SEND - Newham:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (Any)
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support various classroom activities
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and take initiative
  • Effective communication skills with both students and colleagues
  • Experience with SEN-specific training such as PECS, Makaton, TEEACH, Team Teach, SCERTS, etc., is advantageous but not essential
  • Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Availability to work in Newham, East London

About the Role - SEN Teaching Assistant - SEND - Newham:

  • Work closely with students, particularly those with autism (SEMH), providing support in their learning journey
  • Assist students both individually and in group settings
  • Tailor teaching approaches to accommodate individual learning needs
  • Monitor and report on the progress of individual students
  • Foster social and emotional development among students
