Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Hayes

Employment Type: Full-time, (Monday to Friday)

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN)? Join our dedicated team, where we provide a supportive and inclusive environment for students with a range of SEN. We are currently seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our SEN school community.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN, including those with autism, learning disabilities, speech and language difficulties, and other additional needs.

- Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and personalized learning strategies to support students' progress and development.

- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.

- Support students with their personal care needs, if required, ensuring their health and well-being are prioritized at all times.

- Collaborate with other members of the SEN team, including therapists, educational psychologists, and external agencies, to ensure holistic support for students.

Requirements:

- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is highly desirable.

- A caring and empathetic approach towards supporting students with diverse needs.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.

- Patience, resilience, and a proactive attitude towards overcoming challenges.

- A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or special educational needs (desirable but not essential).
