We are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant who really wants to push themselves to change the lives of our students. You must be able to drive, as you may sometimes be expected to take the students outside of school or work with those who need to be reintegrated back into school.

This is an excellent opportunity for a SEN TA who has a flexible and compassionate approach to their duties to ensure students always have the support they need.

You may expect to work and support mixed ability learners on a 1:1, small group or whole class basis. This highly reputable trust local to Plymouth is looking for a SEN TA where they will be working in a school in PL4 or PL21, both with superb resources and facilities to assist the staff and students daily.

The school is looking for an individual who is able to work collaboratively with students and staff to provide a positive learning experience for all students with a specific commitment to those with complex learning difficulties.

Preferably, you would work 5 days a week (8.30-3.30) but if we feel you are suitable we may be able to accommodate part-time workers too.

You would be joining a welcoming and supportive team to deliver a relevant and practical curriculum that meets the needs of the children's individual needs. This is not an opportunity you want to miss.

Requirements:

  • Relevant teaching assistant, care or childcare qualifications (desirable)
  • SEN experience (desirable)
  • GCSE Maths or English equivalent
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Full and clean driving licence
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to register for one
