SEN Teacher
As an SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support and education to children with various SEN requirements. Collaborating with other professionals, such as SENCOs and support staff, you’ll develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student.
Responsibilities:- Teaching and Planning: Design and deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
- Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress, adapt teaching strategies, and provide constructive feedback.
- Inclusion and Differentiation: Create an inclusive learning environment by differentiating instruction to accommodate individual needs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers, teaching assistants, and external specialists to ensure holistic support for students.
- Behaviour Management: Implement effective behaviour management strategies to promote a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Parent and Guardian Communication: Maintain open communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
- Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of student achievements, challenges, and interventions.
- Safeguarding: Be vigilant about safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
QTS Preferred but not essential
Experience working with students with SEN, including those with autism, learning disabilities, and emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in SEN education.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Possession of an up-to-date DBS check on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
Salary dependent on experience.
