We are seeking an exceptional and inspirational SEMH Teacher to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. This role is ideal for a dedicated educator who is passionate about making a significant difference in the lives of students who have faced challenges in mainstream education settings.
Day to day of the role:
- Deliver high-quality teaching to pupils with SEMH needs, ensuring that each student can make progress in their learning.
- Create a supportive and structured classroom environment that caters to the individual needs of students with EHCPs.
- Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and other agencies to support the holistic development of each student.
- Contribute to the development of our SEMH provision, particularly as we expand our pupil numbers and move towards a new purpose-built academy.
- Engage in continuous professional development and utilise innovative teaching methods to enhance student outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track record of success.
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs and managing challenging behaviour.
- Ability to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Commitment to improving the life chances of young people, regardless of background.
- A passion for teaching and professional growth.
