SEN Teacher
  • Annual Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (commensurate with experience)

Our school is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join our team from September 2024. This role is ideal for an individual with experience working with SEN learners, particularly those diagnosed with autism. We welcome applications from experienced primary teachers looking to expand their expertise with students who have complex needs and are working below age-expected attainment levels.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Deliver outstanding educational opportunities and ensure each student reaches their full potential.
  • Plan highly effective learning opportunities tailored to the needs of students with ASD.
  • Maintain excellent classroom management and uphold high expectations for all pupils.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the curriculum and new assessment framework.
  • Nurture, inspire, motivate, and engage students with ASD to achieve and succeed.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and governors.
  • Contribute to the academy’s commitment to providing a happy and nurturing environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Graduate with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience within an SEN setting or with discrete ASD groups in a mainstream environment is ideal.
  • High expectations of pupils and oneself, with a commitment to professional development.
  • Enthusiastic, flexible, imaginative, and forward-thinking.
  • Ability to nurture, inspire, motivate, and engage students with ASD.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
